Most days now Gus finds himself either cleaning, taking care of his daughters or working on his goldsmithing commissions. One day he would be given the ability to swap before his Lalafell form and his Viera form thanks to his adopted mother's experimental fantasia that bound the form to his favorite pair of ears, At least he can reach the top shelf easily now
Gusoto's Backstory
Gusoto was once nothing more then a simple farm boy who led a very simple life, work the farm, playing with his friends and sister. It wasn't until one day that a fight between the local beast tribes broke out causing both sides to summon their primal. Though both primals destroyed the other it left the siblings orphaned and homeless. Not wanting to lose his sister they ran and lived on the road.Nine years pass and Gusoto is now 18 and Lalato is 16, that night on a routine stop for medicine and preserved food the siblings stopped by the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre where a group of Bards we're playing. Gusoto realized what he wanted to be in life, His sister gifted him a hand crafted Harp and the two began traveling with renewed vigorAfter a recent alchemical experiment from his surrogate mother Bella, he now has the ability to switch between his lalafellin form and his viera form when wearing his favorite pair of faux ears.
Strengths and Flaws
Gusoto like everyone, has his strengths and flaws. And just like everyone in the world he must learn to live with them and become a better person.
Strengths
Gusoto is extremely kind and caring, often putting others before himself and helping those who are down on their luck start anew.
Gusoto is an amazing bard, easily able to enthrall crowds with his beautiful music. Well known around Etheryis for said beautiful music
Gusoto is street smart, knowing to keep his eye open when out and about and know all the good places to go. and where to get the best deals.
Gusoto is rather worldly, knowing about places around the world that some only dream of experiencing, he'd be a good cartographer if he was any good with art.
Gusoto is good with his hands, jobs the require dexterity and precision are done to near perfection, while more strength based ones he struggles with.
Gusoto is always prepared, having a pack on his right side full of everyday needs, such as snacks, potions, water and anything else he would need for a day.
Flaws
Gusoto is a paranoid, due to his childhood he's grown overly cautious.
Gusoto isn't the brightest, while he is street smart, he isn't book smart often falling asleep during the simplest of lectures.
Has unstable Aether, due to another event from his childhood, it rendered his Aether Helix a complete mess all except for his wind Aether.
Gusoto is quick to jump to conclusions and act without much thinking if his sister isn't around to stabalize him
Due to his inability to channel aether any attempt at cast magic causes his body to grow weary and sap all his strength, if done to an extreme his white eye will react.
Gusoto is a bit to caring and will readily throw his life away or work himself to the bone to provide a better life for others, not stopping to think that his work is hurting rather then helping as he doesn't often take care of his own health.
Gusoto is an Alcoholic, while not as bad as some drunkard can get, honestly having lost the ability to get drunk, he still uses the drinks he can mix to dull or hide pain.
Gusoto will often get aether sickness after playing music for to long, feeling good during the performance just to get sick an hour later.
Gusoto often falls back into old habits when put under to much stress, he has tried to quit smoking several times but will often relapse if something quite stressful happens.
Family and Friends
Lalato Lato: (30 Autumns, female, Gay/Ace) Gusoto's last blood relative, younger sister, very smart, is a mute due to Trauma. Lalato is one of the few who know about Nyhmian scholars and after successfully recreating the magic summoned Selene who acts as an anchor for healing magic, nice when she wants to be, has a Scottish accent because of the link with King Titania. working together to create Nouliths and combined Fae magic with it creating Lalato's go to healing style she has dubbed Headmaster.Bella Whisperlily: (50, but looks 25, Female, Pan) Gusoto and Lalato's surrogate mother, warm and motherly on the outside a complete Hedonist on the inside, she a skilled fighter who was captured by Garleans 10 years ago, after being saved by the two 5 years ago. Bella is a skilled fighter and Alchemist, her go to blade of choice was originally a gun blade she picked off of a Garlean commander but after some dealings with the Bozjan resistance she upgraded. Bella's alchemy ranges from common potions and healing tinctures to the more lewd, with potions that change body parts, increase potency and plenty of types of aphrodisiacs, they all usually have a side effect due to her volatile brewing style.Sergeant Frydwyta Kaienwyn, aka Peaceful Waters: (24 summers, Female, Bi), Gusoto and Lalato's other childhood friend, a proud and friendly Femroe who rose through the maelstrom ranks becoming a sergeant, though she could have many other high paying jobs, she prefers to lead the soldiers in the mist in keeping the peace. Peaceful was once a tiny little thing when she was young only slightly larger then Gusoto due to her Au'ra blood from her father, after losing Gusoto to an incident in their past she went from the mild mannered and timid girl to a determined beast who never wanted to see another loved one lost. It wasn't until 12 years ago from current day that the two would reunite by chance just when she finished her exams for joining the maelstrom as well as passing the test to continue her training as a warrior. When off shift she can be found drinking with fellow soldiers or visiting Gusoto, since he's the only one that can make a drink strong enough to affect her. has black au'ra scales usually wraps down her breasts to make it easier for her to fight.Auntie Seaha: (49 Winters, at least that's what she says, Female, Straight) a dwarf all the way from Tomra on the first, a fierce fighter and even more fierce alcoholic, patron saint of the Dwarven Decking fighting style. Upon chance encounter with a tear in the fabric of the shard Gusoto and his sister were tossed to the first where he met Seaha drinking every Roe under the table in the Crystarium, having been banished for drinking Tomra's entire Ale reserves in one night she now wanders around doing what she pleases. After the events of shadowbringers she had taken a shine to Gusoto's mixing and music skills, and decided to tag along back to his shard, not much having been left for her there she steals one of the newly manufactured tanks and booked it over to him before the tear closed, with a little friend in tow she now runs her own bar that doubles as a fight club, a few drinks then a few fights what's better then that for a dwarf like her. after some more time passed she decided to finally show Gusoto what she looks like without her helmet though comfortable being without it she's much prefers wearing it.C'hie Molnua (20 springs, female, Bi) Twin sister to L'lolo Molnua, a fierce miqo'te fighter, big fan of martial arts, physically fit and always ready for a fight, abs could be used like a wash board. met Gusoto during a trip to the Reach and her ear picked up his playing a familiar tune of Ala Mhigo, the song of Salt and Suffering. After some chatting the two became fast friends and often accompanies Gusoto on his travels when passing through Gyr Abania, and occasionally visiting when she gets the itch to watch cheesy kung fu movies she gets from traveling traders.L'lolo Molnua (20 Springs, female, Straight) Twin sister to C'hie Molnua. a caring Miqo'te beast master, almost motherly for her age, soft and a bit on the chubby side compared to her sister, she looks after her tribes beasts raising them to be fierce and loyal hunting partners. Met with the two the same time her sister, hearing the beautiful music being played she fell in love with him but never confessed her feelings due to her duty of the tribe, will take any opportunity to flirt with him though. very good with animals of any type, canines are her specialty though.Zozonan Rujinan (28 Winters, Male, Straight): Ex Lalafell Mafia member on the run after a deal went sour, with a target on his back he made a run for it and somehow was able to get away, brutally beaten and bruised Gusoto found him and helped him hide away while he healed, after fully healed Gusoto helped him start a clean life as a Fisherman, getting him a job on the ocean fishing boat, (insert boat name). through some goodwill connections he's gotten word that the mafia hasn't forgot him and is still looking, Boston accent, smoker, will talk your ear off.Alpelle Patigette (Appears 27, Female, Pan): A relatively young voidsent who crossed through a rift, unsure of what to actually do on this side she wondered until she crossed paths with Gusoto who helped her discover a love for traveling and adventure, as she grew she learned how to wield her power and took on the form of a beautiful Elezen and began to sell the relics gems and such she found while adventuring, but also discovered the downside to being a Succubus that every now and then she needed to feed on the life force of someone else. once a month on a full moon she offers a special service to customers where she sheds her façade revealing her true self, she luckily knows how to control her hunger and doesn't kill any of those clients but leaves them drier then the Uldah desert.Tomomi Tomo (43 Autumns, Female, Bi) Half Plainsfolk, half Seawolf, Tomomi was brought into this world less fortunate then others, her parents lost their lives soon after her birth and she was taken to an orphanage where she spent most of her life, since she was a half breed most people looked down on her, as she grew she became sort of a big sister to other half breeds in the orphanage protecting them from other kids that would bully them. When she came of age and had to leave she began working on saving enough money to build her own orphanage where half breeds would be accepted and loved. She found a plot for sale in Shirogane and quickly bought it beginning to build her dream up, she was ridiculed and shunned but that didn't stop her and soon the Rosebed orphanage became a reality where she now acts like a mother to the children teaching them and reassuring them that they are beautiful and lovedMaru (full name: Otakemaru, 1000 summers, Female, Bi): A mythical Oni only thought to be just that a myth, watcher and guardian of Yanxia but mainly watches over Namai. an extremely tall Oni about five times as tall as an average female Au'ra, with pretty red skin and an interesting scale pattern, muscles round out her look. Due to her size whenever she had to go down to save Namai she ended up destroying more then she protected luckily never taking any lives in the process but the wanton destruction has gotten her marked as more of a bad omen rather then a guardian.
Fai Hevones: A peculiar Hyur or sometimes Vieran Man, he met on his travels, incredibly kind and caring, he quickly became great friends. Gusoto often plays music for him and keeps them company when they are cooped up in their home all day, often visits with Lalato so she can peruse Fai's vast collection of tomes. Though later in life when Fai would finally return from battling the end of days, he would notice the small changes in Gusoto, appearing older and weighed down, often visiting to keep him company as he did all those years before WoL work began picking up.Kirashi Baduga: A interesting Baduga he made friends with after hearing stories of an Au'ra named Dj Limit break sweeping the scene, after some initial head butting over music the two became fast friends and often spend time listening to music and mixing new songs.Honeybee Reinhart: A female Lalafell he met after a mutual friend introduced the two, very kind, sweet and a little shy, Gusoto and her often spend time together relaxing and enjoying local cafe's.Dar'tan Choko: A Viera he had a chance meeting in the sapphire avenue of Ul'dah, Dar'tan (affectionately nicknamed Darts) and Gusoto struck it off after the two had a contest in seeing who the better bartender was the contest ended in a draw because both participants passed out drunk, the two now share new mixing techniques often and have been good friends since.Akudoi Koray: A short slightly timid female Au'ra, a traveling trader at first glance that Gusoto remembers running into a few time in his travels. after a few chance encounters and a few special nights Aku and Bella grew rather close eventually getting married, after an extended amount of time getting to know each other they became good friends and soon Gusoto became an uncle to Bella and Aku's twin daughter's, Aurora and Violet, having inspired the twins to fight for good through stories their mothers would tell them about Gusoto. Gusoto takes it into his hands to teach the two the basics of being gladiators in hopes to help them both walk their own paths of justice.Toffgeim Hezzfyrwyn: Toffgeim, Toff, or Toffee to some, is a beautiful and friendly Roe woman who just like Louka, met Gus by chance from one of the venue's the three used to work at, once a pirate out of Limsa living only for the seas, money and her own pleasure, she finds herself as a secretary for Mooncrest Holdings and a lady of the night. Just like Louka, she's a chaotic force in Gusoto's life that keeps him on his toes and brings joy into his life, he'd gladly take a bullet to protect her but well she's rather tall compared to him. But still cares about her deeply as one of his closest friendsLouka Hyacinthe: A chaotic force in Gusoto's life in the form of a Xaela Femboy, his only purpose in life is to party hard and get fucked just as hard. After a chance encounter at one of the venues the two used to work at, they became friends, Gusoto acting as sort of a fatherly outlet for Louka and Louka acting as a sort of outlet to help Gusoto let lose a bit. A bartender as well Gusoto has grown to respect the recipes that Louka had come up with that didn't involve drugs. Despite how Gusoto may look on the outside for Louka, he would take a bullet for his friend and does care about him deeply considering him one of his closest friends.Doctor Kuzunoha Artemis Gozen: A rather insane but kind Miqo'te who specializes in alchemy and experimental procedures that some would consider against the laws of nature, having met through chance while looking for someone who could potentially help restore his vision the two have become friends and coleagues of a sort. Having already spent a good amount of time as a test dummy for his mother Bella, he offered his body for use in the Doctor's experiments in exchange for help restoring his vision. The Doctor could sense the good intentions behind his wish and was ready to just give him his sight and nothing more, but willing test subjects are quite hard to come by now a days.Solarious Brave: The sweetest Viera Foxen he's ever met, Solarious shortened to Sol, met by chance at one at the venue Gus runs with Louka and Toffee after a bit of flirting Sol boldly asked to take Gus out on a date. Fast forward to this day the two are lovers and spend there days enjoying each others company. Sol is a white mage by nature who is constantly doing their best to find a cure for the major illness' that plague the shards. In this pursuit he accepted a sin eater into his body to keep them from fully turning and losing there humanity, Asadal or Azzy as Gus calls him is an equally as bright and caring Au'ra from the first who tags along in Sol's Soul and takes form sometimes to speak with Gus. The consequence for saving Azzy would make itself more and more apparent as his aether rapidly would drain to feed both himself and Azzy, It wasn't until the Fae King Titania blessed Sol with an abundance of aether while giving him access to both a Fox form and a Fairy form, thanks to this new surplus Azzy and Solarious no longer needed to fear collapsing or worst from a lack of aether. If it wasn't for Gus stepping into Sol's life he was ready to give up on love but now he knows just how much he needed this sort of love in his life.

Yuki is a fluffy and cold little buddy that often can be seen hopping around Gusoto or sitting in a bucket of ice shards in several spots around his house.Gusoto had the honor of giving the Sultana a private performance, and even being commissioned to repair her crown before anyone could find out.While an expert with a Gun, Gusoto knows many different ways to fight, his second choice being a sword and shield.Other then goldsmith, he's learned many different profession in order to make sure Lalato had everything she needed, He's an ace culinarian, is great with thread and needle, and is an expert forager.
